Disease spreads exponentially.
Remember high-school math class, which you hated?
Remember complaining, I'll never use this shit in real life?
Welcome to this corona virus shit going around, which is real life.
Affected people with or without symptoms are contagious and may infect others by proximity or contact, however indirect. (A doorknob or even a microphone could be a conveyance of the virus.)
And Covid-19 spreads exponentially.
What does that mean?
One person infects ten others, who each in turn infect ten others, who each in turn infect ten others. Already there are over a thousand unlucky disease carriers. All from one unlucky disease carrier, who may have been asymptomatic and thus understandably ignorant of his or her carrier status.
This thousand-fold multiplication occurs potentially within days. Or hours. Minutes.
And so on and so on and so on.
A la Wayne's World.
That, my friends, is what exponential means.
Meanwhile, follow the advice of health experts and your doctor, not that of politicians or pundits.
Salud!
